in the dark on the peninsula and in san francisco they have fewer than 50 outages each. at one point yesterday morning pg&e says 125,000 customers had lost power. in san francisco heavy winds and rain snapped a power pole in the sunset district. 8400 customers lost power. in daly city ground saturating rain caused a 50-foot pine tree to fall on 280. the problem blocked two lanes and backed up traffic for an hour. a pothole caused problems for drivers on highway 4. witnesses say more than two dozen drivers ended up with flat tires after hitting that pothole. cal tran sent a crew out to repair the road. >>> overnight news a man is behind bars after leading officers on a high speed chase from san jose to the streets of oakland. the chp says the driver got on to interstate 880 toward oakland after failing to stop for a traffic violation. the chase lasted for several hours before the driver got off the freeway and stopped by spike strips near mountain view cemetery in piedmont. >>> all lanes have reopened on highway 580 in richmond. that is following a fatal accident. the chp says the pedestrian wa

to the desk. >>> san francisco international airport is gearing up for what could be the busiest day holiday travel day of the season. allie rasmus is live there at the airport with information on how many passengers could pass the airport today. >> reporter: it's supposed to be one of the busiest travel days of the year for san francisco international airport with 130,000 passengers making their way in and out of the terminals here in a single day. even at 4:30 in the morning you can see there is more foot traffic. there is more activity than we expect to see here on a friday morning. you can see a number of cars and passengers unloading their stuff out of the taxis. making their way into terminal two. inside we just checked the board, we're happy to report there are no delays or canceled flights out of sfo. in fact, we saw one flight was leaving ten minutes early. that was heading to washington. that could all change as the day goes on because of the weather. rain is supposed to move in through the bay area later this morning. that usually creates delays at sfo. again it's not raining. the

. you can see the headlights at westbound as you make your way toward the bay bridge. san francisco 101 this is a look there. you can see traffic on the right hand side toward sfo looking good. let's head back to the desk. >>> we begin with breaking news from oakland. police are investigating three homicides. there are two different scenes. one in oakland. one in west oakland and one in east oakland. ktvu alex savidge is live on walnut street. good morning, alex. >> reporter: good morning. the sergeant here on scene told me in this case a woman was found stabbed to death early this morning. officers are still out here on scene. you can see a couple patrol cars parked out here on this street. the stabbing happened inside this apartment building in a second floor unit. we'll show you video we shot a short time ago. this is all taking place in the 5800 block of walnut. neighbors called 911 just about two hours ago. around 2:30 this morning. when officers aryed here on scene they went inside this unit and found this woman with multiple stab wounds and she died here on scene. a sergeant told
